Brown leaves

I bought my fiddle leaf fig about 2 months ago and left it in the original pot so I could get used to the environment. I water it about every 5 days, or when the soil feels dry. I haven’t done anything with fertilization. It’s about 8 feet from the nearest window and not getting any direct sunlight. I’ve started using water that has been sitting for 24 hours, so the chlorine can settle.

On the other hand, if the nursery pot has a lot of holes in the bottom, it might be designed to keep the roots very dry, so it could be a challenge to maintain the proper moisture level of the soil. If you've had it for two months, it's probably safe to put it in a new pot with well-draining soil and drainage holes. Good luck!
