Cat Problems

I have a cat that will not leave my new FLF plant alone. He has knocked it over once. I have now placed the pot inside a basket, but he continues to try and play in the soil. I have several other plants that he doesn’t mess with, not sure why he loves this one. My question is can I put decorative river rock or fake moss or something else on top of the soil without harming the plant? Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks

Yes you can use moss or bark chips as a soil topper. I would stay away from rocks as they could cause the soil to stay moist to long. I use bark chips. No promises for the kitty once they find a toy they like they tend to always want to play with it. Get the kitty some cat grass or cat mint to have as their own plant to play with.
