ROOT ROT ?????

Hi everyone ! I noticed these brownish blackish edges on my fig, could it be root rot? My plant had a very hard beginning, once brought home from the nursery, he had a hard time acclimating. He dropped a few leaves and was droopy for weeks. I was so excited that just a few weeks ago he sprouted two new leaves, to me a sign he was happy. Today I spotted these and am worried its root rot. If so, how can I save him and prevent him from dropping more leaves ?! He gets lightly shaded east facing window light, watered when meter reads 4, and has a mix of cactus and regular soil.

Thank you for your question. It does not appear to be the start of root rot, but if it continues to spread, I would asses the drainage in your soil and how much/how often you water. Make sure when you water it is draining out the bottom drainage holes. For more feedback, join our Facebook Community and post for quick support from other fiddle leaf fig owners.
