Hi – I live in a house with an indoor atrium – there is a 6′ x 6′ skylight above.  When I moved in, there was a fiddle leaf fig growing in the atrium.  It was about 5 ft tall.  A year later, and it’s about 12 feet tall/long, supported by ground stakes.  It’s very healthy.  Some of the leaves are a good 18-24 inches wide.  Dark green – very happy plant.  It’s more of a vine habit than a tree, as it is growing straight up rather than branching out.  How do I prune it back without shocking the poor thing.  I had no idea it would get this large since I’ve never had one of these before.  It is not in a pot – it’s growing directly in the ground in the house atrium.  Where do I start?  Thank!
