Sick FLF? Over or Under watering?

good morning,

I am new to Fiddle Leaf Figs. I just got this one in September and have been reading all of the boards and articles trying to make sure I am caring for it properly! A few days ago I noticed that the new growth (that I was sooo excited about) has started to curl and dry out. I have been watering 1x per week about a cup and a half. I’ve been waiting until the top 2 inches of soil are dry before watering again. I have my FLF placed in front of a window that gets sun throughout the day. Today is a bit cloudy but here is the set up in the picture.

Today I also noticed some white spots on the leaves. A few times (earlier this week included) I have wiped each leaf with a moist wash cloth, water only, to remove dust. Unsure what these white spots might be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

thank you!

Thank you for your question! Your fiddle leaf fig looks to be in a great spot with a lot of sunlight. The curling edges of the leaves may be caused by slight under watering. Water until 10% to 15% of the water comes out your pot’s drainage holes. Wait a full week and check to make sure the top inch of soil is dry before you water again. Good luck!
