I got this little girl two weeks ago. her tallest branch is only 16 inches high. I repotted her into a slightly larger pot. So far (fingers crossed) she seems to be doing great. She has put out one new leaf, another about to un curl and a bud that is still closed. The new leaf looks like it’s bigger than the previous and no edema. I just received your fertilizer and I am not sure if I should start it right away. Or should I wait a bit for her to settle in. I also am trying to water on a weekly schedule as y’all advise. I am curious if she could use more water since she has 3 trunks versus one. I have started her on 1 cup once per week.
Hello Tara, your new little girl looks great!
As far as the fertilizer goes- you should fertilize your plant every time you water, except in the winter when it is dormant. This post about how often to fertilize your fiddle leaf plant can help answer any questions you have on when to fertilize.
As for the watering, I think our Ultimate Guide to Watering Your Fiddle Leaf Fig Plant info page will help answer questions as to how often you should water. I think because she has three trunks verses one, it might be good to get a moisture meter to help determine if it's getting enough water. You can find out more about how to use a moisture meter in this post.
