• How long have you had your plant?
    • I got my plant at the end of February this year.
  • When did the problem start?
    • I noticed the leaves cracking and some brown spots appearing about 2 weeks ago after we moved into our new home.
  • What are the symptoms of the problem?
    • Cracking in the middle of the leaves, brown spots on some leaves, and “cupping/curling” at the end of the leaves.
    • The bottom 2 leaves are turning more yellow and have more consistent brown spots on the bottom of the leaves.
  • How often do you water your plant?
    • About 1x per week or when the top 1-2 inches of the soil appears dry.
  • How much do you water?
    • The pot I have is large, about 16″ so I use about 8 cups of water depending on the dryness of the soil.
  • What does your drainage look like?
    • The pot has a drainage container at the bottom so the roots can’t sit in water.
  • What soil are you using?
    • I repotted the tree shortly after I got it and I used Miracle Grow Potting Mix.
  • How often do you use fertilizer?
    • Since I just repotted the plant I didn’t use fertilizer until yesterday. I got a 3-2-1 Fiddle Leaf Fig Tree fertilizer and put in about 1.5 tsp in 4 cups of water. I then put more water (about 3-4 cups) in after since the soil was still very dry.
  • How much sun does your plant get? Where is it in your home?
    • The tree is in a large east facing room that gets bright, indirect light for the majority of the day.

Since we recently moved this tree I thought it might be trauma from moving, but as the brown spots have increase this week I am starting to thing it could be something else. Also, we live in Utah so the climate is very dry here which I think could be the reason for the “cupping/curling” of the leaves, but I’m not positive.
