Hi there ? ,
Big fan here. I own 4 fiddles and fiddleleaffigplant.com has been a huge resource these part few years. And the fertilizer is a staple in our home.
Recently something strange and wonderful happened to one of our FLFT’s — it produced 2 new leaf buds on its lower trunk! The leaf buds are already opening up and have tiny new leaves inside. The tree has never been pruned or notched. I have owned the tree for 3 years now and it has probably doubled in size since we bought it.
I can’t find much information about this kind of new growth online. I thought you may be able to shine some light on why this might be happening. Have you seen this before? Can we look forward to future branches from this growth or is it too soon to tell?
Thank you for your time!
Shelby
P.S. If you decide to share this in a post, please let me know. My husband is a commercial photographer and would be happy to retake these photos for your website.
Hi Shelby,
