Wrinkled edges

Hi,

I received the plant from Amazon a week ago, which seemed like in a great shape initially. Looked green, healthy and leaves were not damaged or had any brown spots. But on a closer inspection, I realised that the leaves were all wrinkled at the edges and very small brown spots on the back of the leaves. I have not seen wrinkling of leaves in any pictures on the web, but browning is more common. A few leaves at the bottom fell out when I cleaned the plant. I have watered the plant once thoroughly when it arrived and now after 1 week. I have put it in a pot with pebbles at the bottom so roots don’t rot. Is it a sign of drying plant? I want to fix the problem before it gets worse. Any suggestions?

Anita

Thanks for your question. It does appear the plant is not receiving enough water or there is too much water draining out when being watered. No more than 10% to 15% of the water should drain out when it is being watered. A moisture meter may help so you can properly gauge that your plant is being watered properly.
    Thanks!
