Yellow and Brown Spots

blank

I’ve had my fiddle leaf fig for a little over a year. There are actually two plants in this pot which have both been producing new growth. One plant, in the past week, started developing these yellow and brown spots. The plants are over four feet tall (probably closer to five feet now) and I water them three cups of water once a week. I got these plants from a home nursery, and have not repotted them. So, right now, they’re sitting in the same plastic nursery pot they came in, on top of a plastic tray filled with pebbles, all in a decorative basket. I had been fertilizing about once a month. I just bought your fertilizer and am starting to fertilize weekly. My plant gets a lot of sunlight, the windows picture are south and west facing windows, but the whole room has a lot of windows on all sides. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Hello, thank your for your question. How is the drainage out the bottom of the pots and is the bottom soil staying too moist? I recommend holding off on the fertilization and removing any leaves that are more than 50% damaged. Continue to place the plant directly in front of that window and regularly rotating it so all leaves get the full benefit of the light.
